Yesterday I posted their beautiful Family/ Maternity session which can be found here. I knew when I met them I wanted to try and capture a special photo of all 3 boys together. Never would I have imagined I would get something so beautiful, timeless and special! This session has one of my favorite sibling shots that now hangs in the Midwifery Services of Lambton-Kent!

This session was just perfection! From his sleepy little demeanor, to gouty little lips. I just fell in love with little Nico! Sessions like these make it hard to believe that being a Newborn Photographer is my job since I love it so much!

Anja is such a gorgeous mommy! With 2 beautiful boys, she was excited to welcome her 3rd (and possibly final) child to their family. Anja and Dale met when he was playing hockey in Germany. I can totally relate to their story of love and her moving from another Country to Sarnia, Canada! In Germany their style is much more open and natural which I love! There are a few “sneaks” into a few shots I did to commemorate her beautiful body… I wish more of my pregnant mommies would embrace the beauty of what a pregnancy does to their body in a positive light!

I had changed the display in the office again in the end of last year when I swapped out the 3 canvas of little Miss Georgia Grace to include photos of the former Midwife’s (and a great friend of mine’s) new baby girl, Mauve. Below is a digital account of the grouping that was placed int he room. I love, love, love the photos of Mauve, but over time realized that finger prints on the glass, dust on the frames, etc was not the vision I had for this room… so more canvas!!!

The Mommy Market Show in Petrolia was just around the corner so I knew it was the perfect time to update both my display at the show as well as in their office. So Georgia returned to the office (marking one of my 1st newborn sessions), Megan and baby Z have stayed (they have been a client favorite), Mauve will be gracing the walls of my office and I bring you 2 new wall display groupings (a maternity and a newborn). I really think you will like the outcome; I know the midwives do!

**I would love to point out something creative we decided to do in the office… do you have a visualy distracting light switch or thermostat in your hallway or the middle of the wall? Check out the Maternity canvas grouping which was positioned around the thermostat!!

You will see we got a ton of great shots! I especially love the shots with the chalkboard and apples since mommy is a teacher. In that setup we also incorporated the vintage quilt from their Maternity session. Little details like that are important so that I can provide my clients with photos they could easily coordinate with each other and make a great wall display.

I am also a huge fan of the owl setup! This is special to their family because Merik’s first cousin is sweet little Nash, my original little owl! At the bottom of this post you will find a fun little comparison shot of the two boys. Enjoy!!!

Well this day was special because little Miss Britton gave me both… and alot of it. Hehe! Poor mommy was worried we wouldn’t get many shots, but as I promised, I would win… I always do!!

Enjoy this little sweety! She made me work, but it was sooooo worth it!

As many of you know, my scheduling format changed the beginning of the year where I began booking just 2 newborn clients and 2 maternity sessions per month. This allowed me to spend more time with my family after a very hectic 2011. The best thing is it has allowed me to make adjustments to my schedule when necessary.

I received an email from a very excited mommy, who like many of us, lost track of time and wanted to schedule photos for her little man. I was able to “tweak” things a bit and work in his newborn session. At 19-days-new I was a bit nervous but soon realized there was no reason to be. Mr. K was a dream!!! He slept the majority of the session and best of all not a lot of accidents (which is awesome news as a newborn photographer! lol). This was extremely important this time as they brought with them a GORGEOUS alpaca rug you will see below. Definitely did not want any “oops” on that!

I hope you are prepared for some amazing shots… this family is just to die for! Beautiful smiles and stunning eyes!!

Where do I start? A few months ago I was speechless as I sat down to edit my maternity session with Carol and Mike. Every photo was just gorgeous! I had the most difficult time selecting the photos for their gallery because there were just too many that I loved!!!(you can see the highlights from their session at Carol + Mike + 1 {Maternity} | Sarnia Maternity Photographer)

Fast forward a few weeks and I ran into the same issue again. Little Lila was amazing! She slept like champ and the most beautiful little features! I was extra spoiled because I not only got some cute sleepy shots, but I got to catch some wonderful alert moments during their lifestyle session as well. The best of both worlds! I hope you love these photos as much as I do!!

Nichole and Tyson, I had such a great time getting to know you during your maternity session (Nichole + Tyson + 1), so it was an absolute pleasure meeting your little man. You two share such an amazing chemistry together that it made me melt at both of your sessions. You can just feel the love you both have for eachother and now your little man.

I can’t wait to work you again and watch him grow!!

Michelle and Steve, thank you soooo much for making the trip from London! It was an absolute pleasure working with you two. I hope you adore her photos and I can’t wait to see a photo of that large print hanging in her nursery!!

I am not going to lie, when I got a call from a mother who just had twins I was ecstatic!! Then it dawned on me that I really had NO availability at the moment. I made some phone calls, pleaded with my husband and did what it took to SQUEEZE them in. After all I HAD made the promise to myself that I was only going to be doing 2 newborn sessions per month from January 1st on. As I have mentioned before balance in this industry with work and family life is VERY tricky… you can easily fall deep into a session and have a hard time searching for daylight. Especially when you are a perfectionist like myself. as well as Lol.

At the end of the day though, I can honestly say I don’t know of many photographers who would turn down twins! Photographing multiples is a rare opportunity so when one presents itself you must jump! The funny thing is that a session with twins tests EVERYTHING you know… calming techniques, maximizing a setup, the ability to deal with not 1 but 2 babies going to the bathroom… a lot!! It is a TON of work but soooo worth it! The chance to snuggle on two beautiful babes and provide a product that their parents will love is AMAZING!!!

All of the hard work paid off for these little cuties! I now introduce Little Miss A. and Mr C!
